《國王的風景》挑戰觀者雙眼聚散度，喚起捕食者以雙眼視覺辨識立體視覺之生物本能，進而認知隱藏於表面紋理下的隱匿仿山水。《國王的風景》宣告由計算美學朝向計算神經美學之先鋒實踐，探索眼與腦交互作用機制，以高度精準計算佈局，誘發裸視立體圖像。
The artwork indicates a transition from computational aesthetics to computational neuroaesthetics, integrating insights from neuroscience and the study of the brain.
Computational neuroaesthetics investigates the neural and brain mechanisms responsible for visual illusions induced by paintings. “The Emperor’s New World” aims to introduce novel neuroaesthetic experiences and techniques based on autostereogram. It challenges viewers’ ability to adjust their eye parallax, triggering the biological instinct to perceive three-dimensional depth and recognize hidden paysage, such as “brain new world”, embedded within the surface painting.
